Posting stories and posts
You can share photos, videos or a text status as a story. A story shows at the top of your contacts' Chats tab for 24 hours. Stories are not on for every account yet, so you may not see these buttons.
Try this
Post photos or videos
- Open the Chats tab. At the top, find your own bubble, My story.
- Tap the small + (Add post) and choose up to 10 photos or videos.
- Add a caption if you like, then tap Share.
Post a text status
- Next to My story, tap Aa (Text status).
- Type your status. Tap the colour button to change the background, or Aa to change the font.
- Tap Send.
Delete a post
Open your post, tap the menu, then Delete post and Delete.
Choose who can see your posts Go to You > Privacy > Posts and choose Everyone, My contacts or Nobody under Who can see my posts. The default is My contacts. People you have blocked never see your posts.
Still not working?
Go to You > Help > Contact us and tell us what you tried and what you see. A person from our team will follow up. You can also write to [email protected].
Good to know
- To stop alerts for someone's stories, long-press their story bubble and choose Mute stories. They won't know.
- To report someone else's post, open it, tap the menu and choose Report post.
- If you don't see Add post or Aa, stories aren't on for your account yet.
Still need help? Write to [email protected] or, in the app, go to You > Help > Contact us.
