Privacy and end-to-end encryption
Your personal and group messages and calls on AviNat are end-to-end encrypted: only the people in the chat or call can read or hear them, not AviNat. Your chat backup is end-to-end encrypted too, with a password or key only you know.
Try this
Check a chat is secure (security code)
- Open the person's contact info and tap Verify security code.
- Scan their QR code with Scan code, or compare the 60 numbers with them in person or on a call. If they match, your chat is secure.
Choose who sees your details Go to You > Privacy. You can choose who sees your Last seen and online, Profile photo and About, turn Read receipts on or off, choose who can add you to Groups, and manage Blocked people.
Still not working?
Go to You > Help > Contact us. For questions about your personal data, tell us what you need; a person from our team will follow up. You can also write to [email protected].
Good to know
- Not end-to-end encrypted: translated calls (your voice goes to a translation service), channels, and support chats with AviNat Support.
- A security code can change when someone reinstalls AviNat or uses a new phone. Turn on Show security notifications to be told.
- To delete your account and its data, see the article on deleting your account.
- To report abuse, block the person and use Report in their chat, or Report post on a post.
