Notifications are not arriving

If you are not seeing alerts for new messages, the cause is usually a setting on your iPhone or in AviNat, such as notifications turned off, a muted chat, or a Focus mode. The steps below check each one.

Try this

Check AviNat's notification settings. Open AviNat, tap You at the bottom of the screen, then tap Notifications. Make sure Message banners is on. Turn on Sounds and Vibrate if you want them.
Read the note at the bottom of that screen. If it says notifications appear while AviNat is open, this iPhone only gets AviNat alerts while the app is open. If it says you still get notifications when AviNat is closed, alerts should also reach your lock screen.
Allow notifications on your iPhone. If you see a Notifications row in AviNat's Notifications screen, tap it to open iPhone Settings for AviNat. You can also open the iPhone Settings app, tap Notifications, then AviNat. Turn on Allow Notifications, and turn on Lock Screen, Notification Center and Banners.
Check muted chats. Muted chats never alert you. In AviNat, go to You > Notifications > Muted chats. To unmute a chat, open its info, tap Mute notifications, then tap Unmute.
Check Focus and Do Not Disturb. Swipe down from the top-right corner of your iPhone screen. If a Focus such as Do Not Disturb or Sleep is on, turn it off, or add AviNat to the apps allowed in that Focus (iPhone Settings > Focus).
Check Scheduled Summary. In iPhone Settings > Notifications > Scheduled Summary, make sure AviNat is not in the summary, or alerts will arrive later in a group.
Check your connection. Open AviNat while connected to Wi-Fi or mobile data so it can catch up.
Update and restart. Install the latest AviNat from the App Store, then restart your iPhone.

Still not working?

Reply in your report thread (You > Help > My reports) and tell us:

your iPhone model and iOS version
whether alerts are missing for every chat or only some chats
whether alerts come when AviNat is open but not when it is closed

Good to know

With Show previews on (You > Notifications), a notification shows who wrote and what they said. The text is read on this iPhone only and never leaves it. Turn Show previews off to see "New message" instead. To hide previews only while your iPhone is locked, open iPhone Settings > Notifications > Show Previews and choose When Unlocked.
A notification can still say "New message" with previews on: right after your iPhone restarts and before you first unlock it, for a long message or a photo, or when several messages arrived while your iPhone was offline. Open the chat to read them.
You > Privacy > Inbox message previews hides message text in your Chats list and in AviNat's own banners.
Reset notification settings at the bottom of You > Notifications puts banners, sounds, vibration and tones back to their defaults. Muted chats stay muted.
Don't uninstall AviNat to fix notifications. Your messages are kept on this phone, and uninstalling removes them.
